ECET 37301 - Renewable Energy Sources And Modeling

Learning Objectives: 1. Explain the fundamentals of renewable energy technologies. 2. Explain methods of solar photovoltaic cell based energy generation. 3. Explain methods of wind farm based energy generation. 4. Design solar to thermal conversion systems. 5. Differentiate between central and distributed generation. 6. Know the fundamentals of power plant design and operation. 7. Describe the operation and benefits of smart grid technology. 8. Explain methods of storing the renewable energy. 9. Use simulation software to model renewable energy based power distribution networks.
